Celtic Journeys:
Suite of the Blessing Moon
This suite of 3 lyrical pieces
was composed by Sylvia Lee Mann for harp and viola. But, just in case
you don't have a violist, she has also included alternate melody parts
for any C or B-flat treble clef instrument, or a C instrument in the
bass clef. The pieces are in the key of C or 1 sharp, with no lever
changes. The harp parts are 2 to 4 pages, and can be played by advanced
beginner or intermediate harp players. The 70-page book includes the
scores, harp and viola parts, as well as parts for the other melody
instruments, all spiral-bound together. A companion CD is included, so
you can hear the music and play along. The selections are Wings of
Peace, Song of the Raven, and Serenity. (see below for audio

Celtic Journeys:
Suite of the Blessing Moon is a charming group of lovely songs that show
of the deep mellow sound of the the Viola against beautiful broken
chords performed on the Harp. The harmonies are in the Celtic tradition-
a beautiful combination of happy and calming melodies. These pieces are
appropriate for services, parties, as solo works or background effects.
I have enjoyed performing and listening to these uplifting duets.
